  1. Hey Joel, I think your blog is very detailed and interesting because as a person who also likes games, i do not think that games make people violent. I think sometimes people get angry while playing games but i don't think I can say games make people violent because I am far from being violent. In your section of religion vs gaming, are you trying to say that people are just looking for something to blame on their violent behavior?

    1. Thanks jozie21,
The idea of this blog is for others to come along on the ride with us disagreeing that gaming make people violent.
I was not looking for something to blame for violent behavior, merely commenting on some askew ideas surrounding gaming from religious communities.
Hope you get to read the rest!

  2. Hey Joel, some interesting arguments and analysis of what is happening in the gaming world, comparisons with other more problematic addictions such as alcohol - goes without saying that the same arguments have been thrown around in relation to TV since it started. Might also be interesting to note, that much of the research around the negative aspects of TV / and now gaming often get "crushed" - ever thought about why? Is it becuase there is "nothing" really there or are there other reasons driving why some of this kind of research gets overshadowed? Is the main drive of your blog the disputed nature of the "addictiveness" of gaming or is there some other angle you are working towards? What about some of the research which is starting to surface now about computers and gaming in relation to how it is affecting the nervous system? (brain) ... just a few thoughts - it's very interesting and topical. Can I also suggest, I know not quite reached deadline yet, and you may be planning to do this, but can I suggest that you look at the formatting of paragraphs and layout - it might not seem like much, but it makes it really difficult to read ... Apart from that, lots of interesting research.

  3. Unfortunately if I were to delve much farther into anything regarding this subject I will head well over the required word count!
Was in the middle of cutting words out and re-formatting paragraphs when this comment was read.
Thanks, and hope you like the rest of the blog.
